Scania Kuantan Branch Gets a Big Upgrade

In an effort to further improve the quality of after-sales for Scania vehicles in the East Coast, specifically Kuantan and Kuala Terengganu areas, Scania recently invested in a new Service Centre complex in the Semambu Industrial Estate area.

The new facilities – comprising of an administrative block, parts warehouse, special tools and component repair, and 8 service bays – are run by a team of 5 highly trained mechanics lead by a senior foreman Rosli bin Ismail, able to handle all servicing and major repairs. 

A Scania Assistance 24/7 road side recovery van – fully equipped with tools and parts to handle emergency cases – is also stationed here and services the central East Coast area (Kuantan up to Kuala Terengganu).

En. Idros Puteh, General Manager of Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd said, “Scania customers deserve the best.  We realized that our previous facilities was not able to provide this hence, the decision was taken to open up a bigger, more comprehensive service centre in Kuantan.”

“In handing over this workshop to our team in Kuantan, we are confident our customers will be well taken care of and will experience the best after-sales service for any commercial vehicle here in the East Coast,” he said.

Mr Hans Hansson, Service Manager for Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd added, “With the facilities in place, we are confident we can provide a high level of service for customers.  But we’re not resting now, our constant training programs means our mechanics are constantly improving themselves and raise their competency levels.”
