Scania Collision Repair Workshop - Open for Business!

In a bid to provide an even wider range of quality services for customers, Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd recently launched the newest service at the flagship Bkt Jelutong service centre – the new Collision Repair workshop. This new facilities provides top quality repairs, with strong focus on quality and safety.
The centre was launched with invitations sent to customers, and members of the press and insurance fraternity to inspect the facilities and quality of work done.
“We had actually had a soft launch of these facilities in early 2008, and so far the response has been fantastic. We’ve focused two main premises; quality and safety, and this is certainly important when it comes to collision repairs,” said Mr Hans Hansson, Service Manager for Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
Mr Hansson has some 20 years experience repairing Scania vehicles, including accident repairs. “With these types of repairs, there is no shortcuts. We ensure that the frame is 100% straight after repairs, and this is results in the vehicle going in a true straight line,” he said.
“I see some vehicles in Malaysia moving sideways like a crab, which is a sure telltale sign of a bad accident repair job. I definitely will not allow a vehicle like that to leave my workshop,” he added.
Over Rm 1 million has been invested just buying the necessary frame / chassis straightening machine; with additional investments for hoists, overhead crane and other equipment. But the investments are worth it as customers are assured of a high-quality job ensuring safety.
“Our boys have also made very good work when it comes to cosmetic repairs, and we’ve seen trucks leaving the collision repair workshop looking brand new!”, said Hansson.
