LC Forwarders chooses Scania as first ever trucks in its fleet
Scania P 380 6x2 prime mover units was chosen to be LC Forwarders' first trucks in its fleet, reaffirming the brand's value, quality, and excellent uptime and reliability.
LC Forwarders Sdn Bhd, based in Port Klang has primarily been involved in forwarding and warehousing, and has relied on external contractors for the movement of its goods. “As our business grew, we realized we couldn’t completely rely on others in ensuring delivery schedules are met a 100% of the time. It was time to get some trucks of our own,” said Mr Chew Chong Way, Managing Director of LC Forwarders.
The decision was finally made to order five units of Scania P380 6x2 sleeper cab prime movers for transport of up to 44 tonnes. “We looked at a few brands and asked a lot of our friends in the transport business,” adds Mr Chew. “But the Scania name kept coming up, and we have had many people talk about the reliability and power of these Scania trucks. Everyone around me in the business convinced me of this purchase.”
The keys to the trucks was handed over to Mr Chew and representatives from his company by Idros Puteh, General Manager of Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. "We are honoured and proud that LC Forwarders have chosen Scania as their first ever trucks in their fleet. By going with a premium brand like Scania, the savings from our trucks' lower fuel consumption, excellent reliability and maximum uptime are very obvious benefits. LC Forwarders has made an excellent decision, and we are confident that they will see the benefits of owning these Scania trucks right from Day 1 of running them," said Idros.
