Scania 35th Anniversary Golf Tournament

2006 marks Scania’s 35th anniversary in Malaysia. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Scania’s loyal customers and local business partners were treated to a day of golf, good food and prizes.

Held at the beautiful Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (KG SAAS) in Shah Alam – a stone’s throw away from the Scania office in Bukit Jelutong – the event was held in appreciation of Scania’s loyal customers, many of whom have had years of doing business with Scania.

En. Idros Puteh, General Manager of Scania (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was at hand to welcome the eager golfers, and was among the 112 golfers who teed-off on that Sunday morning.   At stake were over RM 15,000 worth of prizes, including airplane tickets, household appliances and electronic devices.   The Grand Prize of a 32 inch Samsung LCD television was also up for grabs, along with some lucky draw prizes.

The Grand Prize which was eventually won by En. Mat Dalip from Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ, or the Road Transport Department). 

After the game, customers had the opportunity to mingle with each other and with Scania staff at a scrumptious lunch buffet and prize giving ceremony.   “This very informal gathering has been very fun and exciting for everyone, and we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves today,” said En. Idros in a short speech before giving away the prizes to the winners.   He also thanked all the customers for their continuous support over the years.
